Classroom Norms
These norms were selected and voted on by the students. These were created using GOILS (groups of increasing larger size). These norms were created collaboratively with students in all my classes. Each group proposed a set of norms which are shared and voted on. It is expected that all students will follow these norms. Individual issues will be addressed as they come up. Please note that the Student Handbook trumps all norms.
- Be respectful of everyone
- Follow the rules set forth in the handbook
- Be prepared
Classroom Expectations
I have very high expectations for you as a student. I expect you to be able to adhere to these expectations. I will go over these expectations with you at the beginning of the year. These expectations will allow you to become a better student, as well as prepare you for high school.
**I expect you to came to class everyday prepared. This would include a writing utensil, ELA Binder, reading books, and all assignments that you have. You need to be organized!
**I expect you to always have your assignments completed to the best of your ability. Do not leave them in your locker, your bag, or at home. Bring them with you.
**I expect you to have a good attitude and be ready to learn for the day!
