About...
Mrs. Hutton
Hello! My name is Valerie Hutton. I teach 8th grade English Language Arts at Cameron Middle School. I am in my 16th year of teaching, and I love it!
I basically grew up in Cameron! My family moved here way back in 1979. My parents (Al and Elaine) used to own and operate Sweet Al's Donut Shop, until they retired in 2015. I started working there when I was a kid (12) and continued to work there until my parents retired.
I am married to a very handsome and wonderful man! My husband, Tracey, works at NW Electric COOP, where he is the head dispatcher. I have four children--my son Taylor, and daughters Jennifer, Kemper, and Lexis. The last just graduated high school, so we are looking at being empty nesters this year!
I LOVE to read, and I do it all the time! In the summer, when I am not teaching, Lex and I like to spend time in our pool and hang out with friends. I will occasionally golf, which pleases my husband immensely! I enjoy listening to 70's Disco music, and have a huge list of pet peeves, which I think increases daily!! LOL
I look forward to spending this year with you and hope that you take away something that you can use!

I grew up on a dairy farm in DeKalb, Missouri (just south of St. Joseph) and am a country girl at heart. I love all animals, but cats are my most favorite! I love my family and enjoy spending time with them. I am looking forward to my new journey at Cameron School District. I'm excited to be a member of the Dragon Family! |
